Weekly Update – Blurry, Imperfect, and So Much Joy

Apr 13, 2017 | Life in Progress

I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

Thursday, April 6

You guys. On my way to the gym and realized I am matchy matchy poo poo with all of my gear.

Friday, April 7

My loot from a very off the beaten path flea market.

Saturday, April 8

My weekly Saturday Flower Market loot. It’s super windy, rainy, and cold outside but I’m determined to bring Spring inside.

Sunday, April 9

Saturday’s are my flower market days but Sundays are my water-all-the-plants days. I am obsessed with our house plants and I love love love Sundays when I take some time to water each one of them. We have over 50 house plants and I can’t tell you how much they give me a sense of purpose – to nurture them, to keep them alive and thriving.

Monday, April 10

Current scene in my home office/studio.

Reworking a super old painting today.

Tuesday, April 11

This family selfie might just be my favorite ever. Blurry. Imperfect. But so much joy. Not always easy (we are each experiencing spirit growing pains of some kind) but worth it.

Current view.

Calling it a day. Goodnight sweet friends.

Wednesday, April 12

She hates it when we don’t take her. Poor Lulu! Photo by @shesawthings

Sending much love,

    Dear KelllyRae,

This message is not really about your Instagram offerings, but in the frustration I will share in a moment, I turned to it for some comfort- and found it!!!! What did I miss or not understand about Pitt pens? I love them. but have one complaint. You seem to be able to do anything with them. And, in addition they are labeled as being waterproof with India ink. When I start trying to do anything-shading etc, they smear. I am almost to the point of just using them as markers. I would love to know what your take is on this. I love your amazing classes. My angels are all hanging in my c raft room to both inspire me and to comfort me.
