Weekly Update – Inspired

Feb 16, 2017 | Life in Progress

I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

Thursday, February 9

Current view out of my studio window. The rain is endless. The candle is lit. And the writing is waiting. I can hear laundry happening in the background. John’s music, too, as he does his chores. And Lulu chomping on a bone at my feet. Loving the sounds of working from home.

She loves the new runner as much as I do. It’s a Nuloom from Rugs USA dot com. And sooooo affordable too.

Friday, February 10

Friends, I kid you not that my heart nearly burst this evening when True unexpectedly said, “Mom, I’m going to replace iPad shows and games with knitting.” Whaaaaaaat? Last night (see previous post), he had insomnia due to knitting, and then he woke up at 430am ready to knit (no he did not go back to sleep). This evening, before bed, he was sure to put his knitting project by his bed “in case I wake up in the middle of the night.” All I know is this: the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Although I have no idea how to knit, when I’m inspired, there is nothing that stops me, and it’s such a thrill to see his creativity inspire him.

Sunday, February 12

I may have just scored 60% off my soulmate chair as Anthro is having a mega sale on their store display models. Sustainably and responsibly made, too.

Did I mention they had two yellow chairs at 60% off, each the same color but different models?

A super excellent weekend. I’m heading to Mexico in the morning and leaving with a full heart.

Monday, February 13

Well friends. I was supposed to leave for Mexico yesterday to join a couple of friends, but I got suuuuuppppper sick with food poisoning (I think). I didn’t make it to Mexico. And this lover hasn’t left my side in bed. Gonna try again tomorrow to make that plane. (Check out my Instagram for a video of Lulu snuggles)

Sending much love,
