“Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.” – rumi
these are the very first bare feet i’ve painted. i love going barefoot, though living in Oregon rarely gives me the opportunity (because it’s so cold!).
since discovering my art i:
don’t mind so much when the dishes and laundry pile up
take my time in whatever it is i’m doing
feel proud of myself for taking the leap
feel more like life is little work and more play
i get up earlier on my days off so i can get to the art table sooner
feel more of life’s simplicity
feel more free, myself, easygoing
listen to more music
obsess over backgrounds and faces
have learned that dreaming can take you to very real places
Very cute piece. This reminds me, in a way, of art by Misty Mawn. Great colors and you did a really fabulous job on the feet. They are hard to paint! Brandi
I LOVE this!!!!

i love your list of art discoveries! and I love the bird! your artwork is beautiful…
I really loved this..both the painting and your words. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Wow Kelly this is gorgeous, so textured, really beautiful. Fairy tale like but deeper. I love it. Love the Rumi quote too.
It is wonderful, light piece, makes me want to be barefoot right now
This is beautiful, Kelly!
you are so good! i just love her tiny feet…and her dress…i wonder if i could find one like that for myself?
I really like the style of your work.
Like your words, glad your art makes you content with yourself, beautiful, I like your work so much, this one with her little bare feet and bird on her head is so enjoyable to look at.
This is so great picture, I love the flowers and the birds. You have a great style, very nice work!
And the words…..oh so true!!
Your work is so magically feminine–beautiful. I love her wordy wings, her bird crown, the richly layered textures of paint and miscellaneous type/music.
love your style, great images! inspiring words, too

This is really outstanding! The feet turned out so well, and our choice of colors makes this feel very grounded. The background texture sets the firgure off nicely, especially since the skin is smoothly textured. I love the little flowers, too:> It’s so true that once you start opening up those creative doors, everything feels different!
fine work… keep exploring… it’s all about the ride!
All of our pieces are beautiful!! Love your unique style! Fantastic!
You are so right! I never really sat down and thought about how much more fulfilling my life is with art. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wonderful! The colors the clothing – just beautiful.
P.S. Loved the tattoo one as well and that you could not bring yourself to add one!
beautiful piece!
You have a very appealing painting style. I’m from Puyallup, near Tacoma.
I love this glimpse into what you are beginning to let go of through creating. You are finding yourself in a new way and that is beautiful.
And this piece is gorgeous. Love her bare feet! And, of course, I love her wings…
Your work is just beautiful. I just love the detail in the clothing and background. I look forward to seeing each painting!
wow; they just keep getting better and better.
