I love smoothie bowls, but I rarely make them at home, opting instead for my (almost) daily green smoothie. But lately, I’ve been experimenting with the bowls, and I’m LOVING it. For me it’s a super quick + easy (and beautiful!) way to get my greens and proteins in a way that is tasty. I don’t love salad unless it has a lot of cheese, fruit, and dressing and so bowls feel like a healthier alternative for me.
Here’s what’s blended in this bowl via our Vitamix (best investment EVER):
• Handful of spinach
• Handful of tropical blend frozen fruit
• Frozen Acai berry pack (found at whole food grocers)
• Serving of plain protein powder
• Serving of Maca powder
• Serving of Matcha powder
Topped with:
• banana
• strawberries
• granola
• hemp seeds
It’s a large bowl, super filling. Love!
I recently bought this book to help give me ideas. Something about the focus on beauty really spoke to me. I love the idea of creating visually pretty things to eat. Totally my jam.
Also, True is loving them as well, which feels like a small miracle.
