Hello Soul, Hello Mixed-Media Mantras
is an online painting course for people who
love soul work as much as art work.
YOUR SOUL HAS A MANTRA FOR YOU. LET’S PAINT IT.
In a virtual classroom that mirrors the feel of a face-to-face workshop, I’ll share everything I know about creating soulful mantra paintings that reflect the call of your heart.
You’ll see my entire process on high-def video, so you can follow along with me, right at home. l’ll show you how to:
- create gorgeously layered and textured backgrounds
- silence the noise so you can uncover your own soul-specific mantra
- bring it all together to create paintings that honor and celebrate your journey
Sometimes, the noise of everyday life leaves us feeling lost and confused. A personal mantra is like a magnet that pulls you back home; back to your power. That’s why almost all of my paintings include a mantra — an uplifting word or phrase.
People often ask me how I “come up” with all those mantras. Honestly?
They’re usually just the words that my heart needs to hear in that moment. So, I come up with them by… tuning into my heart. In Hello Soul, Hello Mixed-Media Mantras, I’ll show you how to do that for yourself.
HERE’S HOW YOUR LIFETIME ACCESS OF BEAUTY WILL WORK
This course begins the moment you sign up and you have lifetime access. All the lessons will be available the moment you log in to our online classroom (hello, set-your-own-pace!).
No art training or prior experience required. Whether you’re new to the world of mixed-media painting or have been at it for years, this ecourse will inspire you to create a few deeply meaningful mantras and then we’ll paint them into life.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a beautiful work of art (or two, or three!) to hang in your home – filled with words that speak to your unique heart.
“I love this process. I never knew that working with paints could be so much fun. Looking forward to making many more.”
Each section will look like this:
Part One is about getting still enough to hear the words and mantras that your heart needs the most. The journaling and reflection prompts will help you go deep to unearth the deeply personal words and phrases that your unique heart is craving.
Part Two is where we’ll unleash our joy and paint, shred, stencil, smudge, smear and stamp like our hearts depend on it. We’ll let our creative spirits soar while we embrace the chaos, the mess, and the no-mistakes style of mixed-media painting
In Part Three, we’ll add our mantras to our paintings, add finishing touches, and celebrate all that we’ve learned.
WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR HELLO SOUL, HELLO MIXED-MEDIA MANTRAS, YOU’LL GET:
LIFETIME ACCESS, GORGEOUS DESIGN + FUNCTIONALITY:
The course classroom is a beautifully designed and extremely easy to navigate website all on its own. When you sign up, you’ll be given login details, and you’ll be able to access the classroom forever (yes, forever!).
PROFESSIONAL HIGH DEF VIDEOS FILMED WITH A GUEST STUDENT:
The painting videos are exquisitely produced, giving you closeup views of my demo paintings so you can see the details of every technique. You’re getting over 17 (SEVENTEEN!) high def videos, created with a guest student. (Her name is Lynx. You’ll love her.) She was brand new to this style of painting, so if that’s you too, her observations and smart questions will be really supportive for you.
For each painting, I share every art supply I use, where I get them, and how to use them. For those of you who are like I was not that long ago, feeling confused in the aisles of art stores, this is an extremely valuable part of the course. I love sharing my resources!
TECHNIQUES + HEART + SOUL:
I share dozens of my beloved painting techniques (collaging, layering, texture building, and so much more!), but I also share soul-stirring truths about what I’ve learned by becoming an accidental artist – kind of like we’re sitting together on a cozy couch, having some tea, sharing stories. Yes, just like that.
I didn’t know it at first, but as I made my way into the creative life, I learned that the process of painting and creating art teaches us so much about healing, courage, imperfections, change, and more.
What comes up in the canvas comes up in life.
My hope is that as you make your way through this course, you’ll see that painting is so much more than just splattering paint on a canvas. Art-making is a much deeper journey; an excavation of who we are and who we want to become. We’ll go on this journey together.
Classroom access: Once you register and pay for the course, you’ll immediately receive an email with your login details. With your login info, you can access the virtual classroom right away and you’ll have lifetime access (that’s forever access, my friend).
Sales are final: Because of the nature of online courses (once you pay for it, you have access to the classroom), all sales are final.
“My nine year old daughter and I are having a great time with the lessons, which are so easy to follow. Thanks for doing this class!”
I can’t tell you how much kids (from 2 years old to teenagers) love this style of painting. Probably because it’s all about embracing the mess, imperfect mark-making, and having fun with art supplies inside a process where there are truly no mistakes.
I absolutely encourage you to do this course with your kids.
My 6 year old son has been painting with me since he was about 20 months old and not only does he love it, but it’s become a sacred activity that we can do together.
If you have older kids, this process can be a great way into deeper conversations with them about the bigger metaphors and life lessons that emerge when we are painting (trusting the process, embracing the uncertainties, discovering your voice, etc – all things we’ll dive into in class).
“Kelly, I cannot thank you enough for this class. It is truly an uplifting and freeing experience.”
If you don’t consider yourself an artist, but you feel drawn to my paintings, please take notice. I believe that everything we find “beautiful” is actually a quiet whisper, calling us toward the life that is waiting for us.
I wasn’t always an artist. I admired “artists” for a long time before I finally started playing with paint, at age 30. That was when everything changed and opened up for me. My life has literally never been the same.
That same creative expansion and opening is possible for you. When you’re ready to answer the call, I’d be honored to guide you into a fun, soulful, no-mistakes way of painting. No prior art experience necessary.
QUESTIONS? I HAVE ANSWERS.
I’ve never taken an online class before. Are the classes LIVE? Do I have to be at my computer at a certain time during the day?
There are no specific times that you need to log in (meaning, nothing will be LIVE at 8pm, 8am, etc.). You can log in whenever you want, from wherever you are, and access all the lessons. Log in everyday or once a week – it’s entirely up to you. Either way, the content (and the community) will be ready to greet you!
Is there a Facebook Group
No, there will not be a FB Group for this retired offering.
Once I register for the class, how long will I have access to the lessons?
We recognize that life gets busy! Your login and password will work forever. Lifetime access, my friend!
I’d love to gift this class to a loved one. How can I register them for the course?
Shoot us an email at email@example.com and we’ll make it easy for you.
Will I need high speed internet to access the videos?
Yes, absolutely. All videos are high-def and will require a high speed internet connection. Please note, we will not offer refunds if you are not able to see the videos due to a slow internet connection, so please consider this before purchasing the course.
What kinds of supplies will I need?
This is a mixed-media class, so you’ll definitely need a variety of supplies. The essentials that are absolutely needed include the following: a few colors of fluid acrylic paints (I like the GOLDEN brand, but any thin acrylic paints will do), a variety of collage papers (mainly scraps of papers you likely have hanging around your house), gel medium, a spray bottle, canvas boards, some mark-making tools that are likely hanging around your house (bubble wrap, jar lids, pens, paper towels), oil pastels, and alphabet stamps.
