Honor Your Brokenness, new art + a time-lapse

I love this new piece. I believe we can receive our life lessons in times of joy, but I also honor all that we receive when we are truly cracked open. I had a recent cracked open experience a couple of months ago. I made a mistake. A big one. And it fully exposed my flawed humanness not just to myself but to others. It made me heart-sick. I lost sleep. I wrestled with my righteousness. I tried to undo what I had done. I searched for all the ways I could make it right. I messed up.

But then it came. The illumination. The gift. The insight into how this particular cracking open was given to me in the first place. 

The gift was full-blown clarity for how I want to be in the world – in business, in life, in parenting, in friendship, in everything. The clarity was indeed illuminating, despite it being birthed from a place of brokenness.

I am grateful.
