Weekly Update – In Love With This Season of Life

Aug 3, 2017 | Life in Progress

I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

Current view of my people.

Hello summer. Hello feeling good and in my body. Hello adventure. Hello ease.
.
So glad Nichole is holding down the fort today while I play hookie with my people.

One of the things I love love love about being in sisterhood with people over the many seasons of life is that inevitably you reach a season that feels in tandem with another sister. Ali and I are in one of those seasons of life that feel in tandem with one another, especially when it comes to wellness stuff and lifestyle stuff. Lately, she’s been on a wellness journey as I have, and it’s really clicking for both of us in ways that it just hasn’t before.
.
This weekend we came together for a little impromptu wellness weekend of exercise, good food, and good conversation around how we can propel our wellness efforts for the sustainable long haul. Ali gave me some much needed tips around getting more veggies into my daily routine (vs getting all my greens via smoothies) and much just all around needed inspiration for this wellness path.
.
We’re not meant to do life alone, ya’ll. I’m so grateful for all the support along the way. Lifestyle changes are hard. And they’re harder when we go it alone. Check out Ali’s fitness instagram account at @ae_wellness. I love watching her Insta stories on that account where she chats about her daily food choices and workouts as she makes this journey a lifelong one. She also started a hashtag (#aewellnesstribe) for those of her fitness tribe that want to find one another (awesome idea).
.
She’s inspiring me to share a bit more of personal wellness journey here in this social media space. Stay tuned!

Good morning from the art cottage! I decided that this little shed has graduated to “cottage”. Also decided to name her Moxie Mabel The Art Cottage. She’s got sass, and I super love her.

Current view! I’m working on my laptop while drinking my daily green smoothie that tastes DELISH.
Today’s smoothie contents:
Handful of spinach
Handful of frozen tropical fruit mix
Cuppa plain low fat greek yogurt
A serving of matcha powder
A serving of maca powder
A serving of flax seeds
Ice cubes
.
I’ve also got my favorite water bottle nearby as I’m trying to get all my water in each day.
.
Small steps!

My little working area at the moment. I just had the most amazing conversation with a woman her calls herself an A+ student of Failure. Her perspective changed me. Inspired me. And I will never look at mistakes the same again. Thank you dearest @melodyrossbravegirl. You are such a brave sister to many and I love knowing and learning from you. For those of you who are in the Hello Soul Hello Business sisterhood, our conversation will be coming to you in a couple of weeks. You. Will. Love. It.
.
For those of you who want to join a sisterhood of inspiring women who are being brave with their soulful businesses, we’d love to have you > HelloSoulHelloBusiness.com.

Currently sitting in front of the flowers post workout. Sun is setting. Warm breeze. Reflecting on how full life has been lately. How nothing fails, ever. How in love I am with this season of life. On a lighter note, I’m looking forward to getting home later to finish up The Defiant Ones.

Sending much love,
