It’s born from the intention of wanting to show up for my own creative practice, but to do it in the good company of others who want to show up for theirs, too. Like a paint-a-long or create-a-long — a weekly meetup where we gather, side by side, and simply work on our creative projects together.
Come for all the weeks. Or come for just a few. Either way, YOU are invited.
And truly, nothing would make me happier than filling the Zoom room with the lighthearted, joy-filled energy of women unleashing their creative sparks — together.

Creative Playdates with Kelly Rae Roberts is a cozy, all-levels-welcome meetup where, for 12 weeks, we’ll gather live on Zoom to move our creative projects forward — together.
If you’re craving creative companionship, a little structure without pressure, and a joyful space to show up for your art, Creative Playdates is for you.
Come to all the dates or just a few — either way, we’ll be here to greet you with open arms, and a cozy spot at the table, and replays will be available if you miss a playdate.
Imagine This….
Every week for 12 weeks, you show up — just as you are — to a cozy, casual live gathering of heart-led fellow creatives working on their art.
You bring whatever project is calling you: your paintings, your sketchbook, your collage mess, your digital art, your knitting, your open heart.
We begin with a brief, lighthearted check-in — a gentle space to name what’s rising for you (and me) in the creative process.
Then we make art together. You work on your project, and I’ll work on mine — or maybe you’ll just hang out, sip your tea, and get inspired by the art and energy filling the space.
As if you’d dropped by my studio, we’ll blend easy conversation — favorite shows, podcasts, books — with stretches of quiet creating, chill music in the background.
And then we’ll keep showing up, week after week, building creative momentum, connection, and joy.
This is your invitation to have a standing date with your creativity.
We’ll meet live on Zoom every Thursday for 12 weeks, starting May 15th, 2025, from 2pm-3:30pm PST.
Can’t make it live? No worries — you’ll have access to all the replays. This is a low-pressure offering: come to all 12 dates or just a few. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
At the beginning of each of our Creative Playdates, I’ll set the tone for a loving and playful 90 minutes ahead.
Then, we’ll dive into our art: you’ll work on your project, I’ll work on mine — just like we’re gathered around a big cozy studio table together. Whether you’re painting, doodling, collaging, knitting, or just showing up to be surrounded by other kindred spirits who speak the language of creativity — I’d love to have you.
No pressure vibes.
You’re welcome to keep your video on or off — whatever feels best for you that day. I’ll have my camera on so you can see my full creative process (I’ll be working on large abstract flowering paintings).
During our time together, we’ll flow naturally between quiet focus (with music humming in the background) and easygoing conversation.
One of my favorite parts of Creative Playdates will be swapping what’s lighting us up while we work on our art— books, shows, recipes, and more. You’ll hear about my latest obsessions, and yours will be warmly welcomed too.
Each week there will be space for a little show-and-tell (only if you want to!), some easy going Q&A with me, and plenty of celebrating the small — and big — steps we each took.
You’ll leave with fresh inspiration, a few more creative sparks, and a whole lot of encouragement to carry you through until next week.
