Last Day of Demdaco Appreciation Week!

Jun 24, 2011 | Entrepreneurship, Life in Progress

I’d like to end Demdaco Appreciation Week with one final giveaway (see below) and a sneak peek of brand spankin new products that are releasing NOW!

krr summer demdaco collection
This is likely one of my favorite Demdaco product releases yet….let me show you!
We’ve got several large mirrors coming out but this one if my FAVE. Notice the hook on the right and shabby knob on the bottom and the little hope note on the bottom left that reads lovely you? Swoon! Yes, yes, this is a home-run for me – can’t wait to put this up in our house! It’s big – 18×24

We’ve got several canvas wall pieces hung from wooden rulers (so cool) and velvet ribbon. Love these to pieces! They roll up beautifully to gift as well. Love, love these!

Frames. Frames! Here are just two of my faves but there are many more where these came from!

Travel mugs to brighten up  your morning commute – we all need a bit of artsy love in the morning, right? I am seriously excited over these bad boys.

We’ve got a few of these awesome large magnet boards – perfect for creative spaces, office spaces, home spaces.  LOVE! I want to put these in my kitchen, my office, my bedroom!

While we were dreaming up magnet boards, we fell in love with the idea of creating girlie shaped magnet boards so that’s what we did. SO FUN!

More magnet fun with magnet sets….

girlies
We’ve added a few girlies to the decoratvie girlie collection. I am in love with these two. One is about Soul Sisters and the other is for all the Mama’s out there.
We love these intention candles – each poses a question (what is calling you? what can you let go? what can you invite in? what are you celebrating?). These were inspired by the idea that when we take a moment to light a candle, we can take a moment to reflect, celebrate, let go….whatever it is your heart may need in the moment.

boxy art
_MG_5890
And finally, we’ve got some pretty awesome boxy wall art for you with artsy thick sides. Love these so much – they can hang on the wall or sit all pretty by themselves. These beauties are in the shop NOW!

All of these new Demdaco products are making their debut THIS week, starting at the Dallas Market. I’ll have many of these items for sale in the online shop in the coming weeks (stay tuned!).

Thank you for celebrating Demdaco with me this week! Thank you, Demdaco, for allowing me to celebrate you! Huge thanks to Dave K for the interview (I think he started a biz revolution!) and to Anne for skyping with me and helping me pull this together! Thank you to Jonathan Jones for all the tech help! Thank you to everyone at Demdaco (everyone) for sending in your photos, your retail stories, your people stories and for all the incredible work you to do to make it all happen. It does not go unnoticed.

Huge thanks to everyone out there who support the products, who buy the products, who spread the word! Thank you for all your lovely and kind comments about Demdaco and the products! We are so grateful for you!

For the 1000th time I look at your art and say to myself that this is what I want to do as well… I do not want to make a living with art, I do not want to sell art, right now I do not even want to show it – I just want to DO it. You are so inspiring to me, everytime I come to your site or read your book, I feel the urge to jump off and just DO something beautiful with my two hands. Unfortunately I rarely do it.There's always that "Not now", "I've got no time" , "I've run out of [insert random item here]" … Tomorrow I'll start working again after three (!) weeks of vacation. I wanted to do so much, I wanted to create so much, I wanted to breathe and be. What I did instead was, well, feeling sick and tired of everything. I spent days in front of the computer, I did nothing of all those beautiful things I wanted to do and celebrate. On the other hand this is not true – I did create one piece of art for a friend's birthday (and she likes it 🙂 ), so even if it's only one, it is not less – it is a piece of art I created. I attended a concert, and even if I had to go alone, I had a blast. And I went swimming for the first time in years and it was so relaxed and happy afterwards. So there. I really need to focus more on the beautiful things and beautiful moments. This is something you're teaching me, too – that all I can do is try, and that it's okay. Thank you 🙂

[I'm sorry, it's gotten a bit longer….I acutally wanted to tell you this in an E-Mail for months now, but it kinda spilled out right now, I hope that's ok!]

My cat is playing around in my art supplies, which means at any given moment, something will fall. She always rubs up against stuff, or grabs my brushes by the brush part and chews on it. I am in my t-shirt and pajama bottoms and my dog Pixie is under my feet. I almost missed the blog got super busy these last few days. Praying that some good news comes really quickly….hope and prayers………..good night.

Fabulous new work…Just went to visit a friend next door and a sweet "girlie" graced her mantel…Stores I love…Zoo Gallery has three locations in the Florida panhandle…We eat a the funkiest place across the street from their Grayton Beach store called Red Bar…duct taps on the booths…posters covering every square inch of the walls…loud with the sounds of laughter and music and always a wait of an hour. We spend our wait time happily in Zoo Gallery…you are in there…Curly Girl…Story People…3 Hip Chics…it's such an uplifting spot that has given me a warm fuzzy feeling since I found them about 17 years ago…not to mention all the great gifts and jewelry that came home with me!!! Roxie and Chris are celebrating 32 years since their gallery opened. Yahoo!!

Today I work I learned that professionalism sometimes means crying in a bathroom stall rather than telling people how you really feel. Sometime you just have to let yourself cry, then pull yourself together and keep moving along.

It's a cool, rainy day here, so I'm about to get cozy with a good book. That being said, my mind is busy racing with projects that I want to do, places that I want to go, and people I want to meet so I might just end up daydreaming for a while… 🙂

Tell you anything?? hmm… well last night I drank waayyy to much wine while spending the evening at a BBQ with friends I hadn't seen in months and had been missing terribly. (how's that for a run on sentence). So today is a rather lazy day just sitting around reading.

I'm wearing the first piece of clothing I ever made for myself: a skirt made from recycled jeans, inspired by the amazing Alabama Chanin. 🙂 I'm also pregnant with our third baby, and I'm looking at your amazing art to distract me from the fact that I'm completely, totally nauseous all the time (and have been for over 6 weeks). I wish so much I could create right now. My studio misses me, and I miss my studio. But, I can't even get IN there, nauseous or not, until they finish the MOLD remediation on the unfinished half of the basement. So, today I'm NOT AS POSITIVE AS I NORMALLY AM! However, I still love your art 🙂 and so do my girls (who steal my KRR inspirational ornaments all the time, lol!). Thanks for the chance to enter this giveaway. 🙂
