There are SO MANY resources out there on how to create and grow your art biz. It can be overwhelming to weed through them all.

Here's what I want you to know:

1️⃣ If you have a whisper to make an income with your art, please follow it. Take courses. Google. Learn.

② If this dream keeps nudging at you, you are meant for the journey. Trust in the mystery of that, however it unfolds.

𝟯. PLAY. Follow your curiosities. Daydream. Wander. And then do things that might not make any sense. Playing around is how we find ourselves in the very center of our dreams.

4️⃣ Be brave. Take risks, and watch how Providence opens up doors for you. There are no mistakes, and nothing ever fails. You are right on time.

⒌ Surround yourself with other creatives who are also starting / expanding their creative businesses, who are ALSO being brave with their dreams. This is huge.

❻ Remember that giving yourself permission to dream, take chances, and go for it is giving those in your life permission to do the same, including your kids, your parents, your coworkers, and more. You never know who you're impacting just by following your dreams.

There are two things that I noticed in successful

There are two things that I noticed in successful creative business owners when I was getting started. These have been the two things that have propelled me forward through all my milestones - AND the same is possible for you:

1️⃣ The first is: Surround yourself with other women who are also growing, expanding their creative businesses, and who know the unique challenges of what it is we are also doing. This changes everything! It inspires us, it motivates us, it keeps us accountable!

2️⃣ The Second is: Courage, confidence, and self trust. Really being brave with our lives and choices and knowing that no matter what we can trust that we're gonna be able to find our way through it. Whether we're celebrating, whether we're pivoting... it comes down to pretending until you're not pretending anymore. Including confidence! Pretending you have that confidence even when you don't, eventually you will.

And again surrounding yourself with other creatives who are doing that as well. This is why I love Leverage Your Art because you're surrounded by others who are doing exactly what you're doing and they understand these unique challenges. This cohort is also being brave with their lives!

I just can't recommend it enough you guys!

🎨 When I started making art, if you told me I would one day see many showrooms filled to the brim with my work AND that that work would it find its way into thousands and thousands of stores, I would have thought you were nuts.

😳 That's me in the first photo, my son True, not even a year old at the time. I was a little dazed by new mom life and the whirlwind of finding myself in the center of my artistic dreams. I thought it would be fun to show some of the showroom peeks through the years.

How fun is that?

📚 Prior to licensing my work, I wrote a book, but licensing really skyrocketed my visibility and brought with it lots of fun opportunities to make income with my art, including teaching, retreats, passive income, and more.
