Announcing my last painting and creative wellness retreat of the year. Who’s in?

Jul 10, 2019 | Life in Progress, Retreats

I am thrilled to announce that registration is now open for my next painting and creative wellness retreat, coming up this year, Sept 8 – 13th.

It will take place at 1440 Multiversity, the gorgeous mind/body/spirit retreat center in the Santa Cruz, CA mountains.

I have taught at 1440 several times and have found its campus to be a perfect collaborative partner for a painting and creative wellness retreat. It’s redwood infused campus, organic food, lovely accommodations, hiking trails, yoga + mediation classes, spa, and so much more is an exquisite + soothing backdrop to daily painting explorations.

This retreat will be my LAST in-person retreat this year.

I’d love it if you came! Please keep scrolling for what previous attendees have said about their experience at this retreat.

Ast fast. When we’ve previously opened registration for this retreat, it has sold out quickly, so please, if you think you want to come, act fast. Registration is open now and all of the details are over on the 1440 Multiversity site, right here.

No art training or experience required. This is an opportunity to come spend a few days with me exploring a fun, no-mistakes,  style of painting while spending meaningful time in reflection about how our choices along the creative process can mirror choices off the campus. Hello, letting go. Hello, unleashing of joy. Hello, healing!  Come ready to learn and grow and spread your creative wings.

A little bit more about 1440 Multiversity…..

Named for the number of minutes in a day, 1440 Multiversity champions the idea that each moment is an opportunity to live fully. 1440’s immersive experience supports the integration of the relational, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions of our lives to help us better connect with others and ourselves.

Campus accommodations include all-natural, farm-to-table cuisine, daily offerings in meditation, yoga, fitness, and other classes and events, as well as four miles of forest hiking trails on a beautiful 75-acre campus.

You’ll love the wellness center with bodywork modalities designed for relaxation and whole-body integration, steam rooms, and large outdoor hot tub with an expansive view of the redwoods. You can choose from a variety of housing options, from Asian-inspired ‘pods’ to executive suites.

You get all the above PLUS my workshop for SIX whole days!!!! Not just painting with me, but lounging, and taking care of your sweet soul spirit.

More workshop testimonials from when I’ve previously taught this retreat at 1440:

The Kelly Rae Roberts course was life-affirming for me! It was a safe place for me to dive into the art, guided by a loving master, and find myself. The angels that emerged in that class are active in my daily life, supporting me for my greatest good. Kelly Rae’s class was my best investment in me! – Betsy W.

When I signed up for the Spirit Wings retreat with Kelly Rae I dreamed that it would be a smallish group of women and that Kelly Rae would not only teach us art, but share some of her incredible positivity, soul, and spirit with us. And you know what?! My dream came true and SO MUCH MORE! It was an incredibly inspiring week where I was free to be my authentic self and was surrounded by an amazing group of women who held space for each other’s journeys. I am forever changed by the experience and hope to attend more in-person offerings with Kelly Rae! – Tamara S.

I went to KRR’s art retreat and I was transformed. We not only painted but did some inner work which allowed me to have more confidence. I was a better painter and did more meaningful art work because of it. I am so proud to now say I am an artist. KRR ‘s caring, loving, personality is contagious and she gave us permission to be our best selves, so we were. – Fran L.

[The] retreat gave me the courage and permission to reinvent myself. To love the old me but allow the new me to join hands with my heart and soul. My life will never be the same, for that I thank Kelly Rae and all my new soul sisters. – Staci H.

Kelly Rae’s art retreat was life changing. Her joy, love, and passion for creating as well as life are contagious. – Barbara S.

I had asked a friend who goes to every retreat I know of to find me something to go to. I was at a very stuck point in my artistic journey and quite honestly felt like I was headed towards depression some days. I had not picked up a paintbrush in 6 months because every time I did, I sat there paralyzed. My friend kept sending me retreat info and I always said no. None of them seemed to fit what I wanted or needed until she sent me Kelly Rae’s info. I said yes immediately! Upon arriving, I believe I sat there still paralyzed the first day and a half! On day 2, I started letting go. Her manner is so gentle and encouraging, I felt myself just submitting to the process, letting go of all expectations of myself. I learned to let the art speak to me and guide me along the way. This was new to me as I always sat down with an idea of what I wanted the piece to look like. Since returning home, I have thoroughly enjoyed the process in all of my artwork. If someone is going to learn art and have fun, they will definitely do that. If someone is struggling with something in their journey, it is all the better. I highly recommend this for a life changing, unforgettable experience. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention all the silliness and laughter we shared? I would do this again in a heartbeat. – Julie N.

Taking an in-person course with Kelly Rae was amazing. She is beyond generous and funny and magical. There is also such power with in-person groups and getting to connect and be inspired by other creative souls. – Lee Ann H.

I truly do not have the words to describe my experience with Kelly Rae at 1440 Multiversity. Not only did I come away with new artistic skills and a renewed passion for expressing my creativity, but I left having experienced a total transformation. Kelly Rae and Nichole set the stage for me to gain clarity in my life, the courage to listen to my heart, and a safe space for me to own my story through the creative process. They provided personal attention, learning about each of our lives and stories, and helped us connect with one another to form a whole new Tribe that has continued to support one another long after we left. This experience single handedly changed the trajectory of my life in ways I never could have anticipated. Infinite gratitude! – Meg H.

Sending much love,
