Money, and how we interact with it, is spiritual ground.

Jan 22, 2018 | Entrepreneurship, Life in Progress

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my money stories – my personal money narrative as well as my narrative as an artist in business. I have such distinct memories of being in my 20s, balancing my checkbook to the penny because often what I had in the bank was down to a few bucks. Back then I was definitely in the camp of scarcity, and was certain that I’d always be hustling and living paycheck to paycheck.

Fast forward to 2006 when I opened up an art shop (thank you, Etsy!) in the middle of a recession and found abundance not just in my heart/passion but also in my bank account.

Since then I’ve had years where my products have generated millions upon millions in the gift market/industry and years where they have not. I have years where my company nets under 100K and years where it nets almost 1M.

Along the way, I’ve learned a thousand practical bits about handling money in abundant times as well as when the cash flow is low. I’ve learned about money as spiritual currency, how its energy likes to move, how old money trauma is REAL, how important it is for us to face our money narratives, and in many cases redefine those narratives as a way to welcome in abundance with loving permission.

Money and how we interact with it is spiritual ground.

I am interested, but so unsure of the content and if I will use it wisely. Fifty-five dollars is still a big chunk of money.
