We finally made it. Thoughts on navigating major stress + transition.

Jun 14, 2019 | Life in Progress

Friends, I believe we made it to the finish line. Earlier this week  John and I spent the day together (we love day dates) celebrating the end of what has been about a year and a half (maybe more?) of major stress and transition. I have been dismantling/simplifying a business (much of it behind the scenes, much of it INTENSE) while also dismantling/simplifying our lives (selling our house, our things, and leaving our city of 20 yrs) – all while building a house (we started the process last summer!) in a new little town, staying in temporary digs (parents house in PDX and rental here in Sisters) , helping our kiddo adjust to a new school/life, and then finally moving in and unpacking.

WHEW!! WE MADE IT! And we all still love one another, too!

We did all of this in the pursuit of more freedom and a simpler life. It has taken a toll unraveling all that we previously built and loved, and we’re also SO ready to be settled inside this next season of dreams.

Here’s what I’m calling in for the rest of the year: Reconnecting with John. We’ve got so much to celebrate, including turning 44 and 45 this summer, 20 years together, and so much more. Reconnecting with my friends, many of whom have been very patient with my MIAness. Reconnecting with my creativity (studio is unpacked and ready for me!). Exploring gorgeous Central Oregon, our new quaint town Sisters and welcoming in EASE.

Here’s to making it to the other side!

Big love,

Sending much love,

I’ve been out of the loop for a long while. Glad to see you’ve finally moved and settled in. Best of luck to you and your family
