I'm having the best time creating new work for the I'm having the best time creating new work for the 40th Anniversary of Louise Hay's new book, You Can Heal Your Life. I especially love this new piece. Reminds me of my pink roller skates John got me for my 40th birthday. I used to roll around the house with them on, 5 y/o True next to me in his skates. I miss those days. I've been thinking about Joy a lot lately. How despite the ugliness of the world, there is still joy to be found. How following our joy is a spiritual practice in a world that is constantly muddying the truth of our spirits. How I want the measure of my success to be my joy. Anyway, Joy. Fall weather = fave clothing season. 🍂 Today it's my fave denim jumper dress I bought years ago from @toast in the UK, my @drmartensofficial that make me feel I'm back in highschool in the 90s, and knit knee highs I bought forever ago and wish I could find more of. 🍁 Do y'all love fall clothes? I got inspired to make a new manifesto. This one i I got inspired to make a new manifesto. This one is called the You Are Healing Manifesto and it's for all of us doing healing work. I love this one BIG, but we have it in smaller sizes too. You Are Healing. Extra doses of self-compassion are needed. And lots and lots of rest, too. Embrace the holy messiness, the unlearning, the unraveling. Transformation and rebirth take time. You are becoming new. Be gentle on yourself along the way. More gentle than you think is needed. Set your boundaries, ask for what you need, and keep showing up. Be open to being surprised. By the bigness of your feelings. By delight and humor, too. You are healing. And you are so brave. Your spirit is gently thanking you for paying attention, for doing this sacred work. There will be despair and uncertainty, and there will be exquisite, break-your-heart-open mending, too. It will be worth it. You will emerge stronger, softer, and more embodied. The world, and your people, will notice. And you will become a beacon of what's possible when we decide to heal.
