Hi friend,

Many years ago, I saw a photo on the Internet where someone had handwritten “Take What You Need” on a sheet of paper with a black marker. It wasn’t anything fancy, just a slightly crumbled piece of paper, but with a powerful invitation….take what you need. The photos showed the sign posted on telephone poles and bulletin boards. I was so struck by it.

So simple. So beautifully kind.

Totally inspired, I made a few signs of my own. After I made a few copies, I scattered them around town in cafés, playgrounds, grocery stores, school hallways, gyms, and more. My heart felt amazing.

YOUR TURN!

Click here to download the latest version of my Take What You Need sign. Make as many copies as you’d like and put them wherever you’d like.

Have the best time doing it, too.

XO,
Kelly Rae

PS: Speaking of kindness, don’t forget to include yourself. I created a book of all my favorite self-kindness practices that I’ve cultivated through the years. Check it out (use code SELFLOVE for 15% off, my treat). xoxo

PPS: Rachel, a fellow Possibilitarian, sent me this photo of her Take What You Need Sign in action in her front yard. HOW adorbs is this?????
