i was looking thru my italy photos earlier and came across this one of the green statue overlooking florence. i don’t know. it just cracks me up (no pun there, no siree). but it reminded me of our first nite it florence when i woke myself up laughing. john, who was reading next to me in bed, said the laughter went on for a long while until i finally busted out into full-on hysterics mixed in with one giant snort (do you ever do that when you’re laughing seriously hard?). it was the snort that woke me up. funny times. funny times. i absolutely love it when i’m laughing in my dreams.
and one more thing. i have completely underestimated how much work is involved with packing up a one bedroom apt and studio while catching up on 3+ weeks of work and life. omg. in between packing, i’ve been catching up on etsy orders (all orders have shipped and thank you so much for your patience while i was away), feverishly looking for a house in seattle (found one and oh my, it’s perfect for us – an old 1800’s farmhouse nestled on top of queen anne. 3 bedrooms, clawfoot tubs, built-ins, and so much more. we are thrilled with a capital T. a huge thank you to my sister in law liz for finding it for us, taking lots of photos, and assuring us that this is the ONE as we are moving in site unseen. we are adventurous souls.), working on deadlines for a new licensing deal (super, super cute home + gift items to debut summer 09. have i also mentioned the large line of wall art canvas reproductions that will debut in january 09? these are super affordable and you will not believe the quality – my draw dropped when i saw the samples. photos soon!), organizing movers vs uhaul (still in the works), working on approvals for more stationery products (to debut next year, too), and trying VERY hard to see my friends one last time before moving in five days.
it’s a lot of activity, but i’m running on the hope of adrenalin and dreams. we keep looking at the photos of our new digs, google mapping our neighborhood (hello, satellite + street views, i love you), and announcing to one another, “baby, we’re moving to seattle!”
