quick friends

Dec 16, 2005 | Life in Progress

i had dinner with jessica last nite. we chatted for a couple of hours, catching up. i gave her one of my pieces as a christmas gift and she gave me a really great book by bryan andreas, a really wonderful artist who i’m learning about and who is quite inspiring. what a thoughtful gift. i used to see her all of the time for running dates and now we’re both being slackers, though we vowed to start running again in january. she remains one of my favorite people. if it hadn’t been for her, there is no way i would have reached my goal of running a half marathon earlier this year. i went from referring to her as “my running partner” and now i refer to her as “my good friend jessica.” i’m lucky to have her. and john made a new friend in her boyfriend dave. we’re all happy now.

i am sitting here at the computer downloading a buttload of songs to our brand new ipod!! it’s our christmas gift to each other and i am just so damn excited about it. this has been a year of transitioning to the 21st century for us. blogs, ipods, itunes, etc.

Sending much love,
