Wellness update! After what has felt like a little bit of hibernation, I’m emerging again. Started moving my body again, which always feels good. I’m feeling strongly pulled toward yoga these days, which is a little strange for me as I gravitate more toward high intensity workouts. Maybe it has to do with the slowing down of my life? Either way, I’m gonna do more of it simply because it’s calling me and the whispers are so wise.
I’ve also dipped back into isometric workouts, which is something I’ve really missed. The simplicity of doing it at home with John super appeals to me.
Speaking of John, he recently celebrated one year of being 100% gluten-free and plant-based. It’s super changed his life and it’s inspired mine. John is our family’s chef so it means our home is free of all meat and dairy and gluten for our meals shared at home. (John has been making a lot of appearances in my Insta stories lately for those of you interested in hearing about his recipes and thoughts!). I’m encouraging him to start his own blog with recipes!
As someone who struggles with auto-immune and general inflammatory processes, I’m learning more and more and trying harder and harder. But man, it’s hard to let go of dairy. I’m definitely inching my way there.
My wellness goals are to keep it simple. Move my body every day, whether it’s yoga, isometrics, swimming, walking, etc (physical wellness). Make art most days, maintain harmony in my schedule by not overworking/producing, offer up gratitudes/blessings, eat mostly plants, and keep my care of my WHOLE self a priority.
