Hands down,  one of my favorite finds this year has been Whippy Cake. They were a vendor at the TCC market place back in September and I went a little nuts (all of us girls did) trying on all the cute flowers in my hair, on my sweater, on my belt, and on and on. Needless to say, I went home with several clip on flowers. Best fashion decision ever.

Since then, I’ve been using the flowers to spruce up just about every outfit, everyday. If they’re not in my hair (every flower has a clip AND velcro that can fasten to Whippy Cake headbands —> genius! watch the quick demo video for more info), they’re clipped on my cardigan, or my belt, or my hat, or my backpack, or or or. With just a few minutes to get dressed in the morning, they inspire me to quickly transform whatever it is I’m wearing with a bit of fun creativity – something I’ve deeply needed since becoming a mama.

Obsessed

ps: I just went to their site for the first time since buying their flowers at TCC and was so inspired by the owner’s (Becki) short hair cut. Did I tell you I cut my hair last week? I did! And there is something that makes me love Whippy Cake even more after watching Becki share her hair styling tips in this video – there’s something really sweet about it, I think. And I want her eye make-up, too. I think it’s official: I’ve got a total girl crush.

pps: here’s my new do:

New short do. Stacked in the back. This feels like me. Happy to have it chopped and cropped.

one more thing: friends, product in the online shop is selling out quickly. like, quickly. get your holiday gifts while you can. what we have in stock is all that we’re going to have for the remainder of the year. can’t thank you enough for the support – this has been our busiest season EVER and it’s not even thanksgiving yet! thank you, thank you!

The sweet gift of amazement from a barista

Recently, I was ordering my usual oat milk mocha at my favorite coffee shop when the young man at the counter, a barista, casually asked, "Whatcha doing today?" I shrugged my shoulders and answered, "Not much, just a little work." "Oh, cool," he said. "What do...
