Hi friends,
The world feels like it’s on fire. It’s dense. Grief-filled. Ache-filled. And still, joy finds us.
A small moment with a friend. A burst of color in an outfit. A laugh that sneaks up and surprises us.
These are not small things. They’re how we remember what’s still possible. How we come back to life.
Lately, I’ve been painting by delight, and allowing its medicine to be just that…medicine.
Allowing our joy to buoy us is how we survive, how our light sings into the world and joins arms with others who are putting their medicine into the world, too. I imagine it as a mighty resistance, harmonizing with hope.
Painting this summer has felt a little defiant, like my own tiny quiet rebellion, one joyful, happy painting at a time.
May we keep making beauty anyway. May our joy be both refuge and resistance. And may it be medicine for ourselves and the world.
This is how hope gets harmonized into the world.
Speaking of all things Hope, I was taking a look at our Hope Collection, and oh my goodness, we have some good stuff, including these cuties….
