the best shelf in the entire universe

Jun 26, 2006 | Life in Progress

so here is the cute, perfectly beachy, and very cottage, shelf john made for my studio. i LOVE it and just had to show it off. it’s 4’X6′ and deep enough to hold all kinds of art supplies. i can hardly wait to fill it up with paints, and paper, and inspiration. and the cool part is is that those are all old recycled boards from old homes, all donated to the home rebuilding center. i love it. love it. love it. oh, and it has turquoise colored feet!

Sending much love,

I agree with you….that IS the best shelf in the entire universe. It’s filled with character & personality. The colors are so yummy too. I hope you get lots of good use out of it 😉

that’s pretty cool. we have a place here that is connected with habitat for humanity called ‘re-store’ and you can go and get recycle building materials. I like the idea of materials being re-used into new people’s lives. it seems more respecting of the resources that made our lives better.
