“art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” – picasso
here’s a glimpse at the water felted wool purse i made. it’s far from complete. when it’s done, it will have shrunk quite a bit more. i enjoyed learning this technique and now i understand why these purses are pricey. it’s because the craft and technique is painstakingly long. i’m talking hours and hours to make one single purse. this class was so far out of my element, but it was good. and belinda is charming.

and here we are doing a self timer photo with jim in the pic
misty is incredibly tender and encouraging. there is a kindredness between us and many, many paraellels that made meeting one another special. nina is incredibly talented. her jewelry is simply amazing. her style, talent, southern accent, and the way she laughs and communicates with such ease reminded me so much of my older sister jen. and katie is an old soul. when she speaks to you, you feel like she is making a soul to soul connection. it is that real. and that cool. her folk art simply blows me away.
and of course, it was so fun to see my friends again, as we made new friends together.
I adore you. I smile every single time I visit your world here…so very much in common, it’s weird, but I love it. 😉
It was so nice getting to spend some time with you and the entire gang. What a great group!!! Nina and I just kept saying how much fun we had. It was wonderful, thank you! Cannot wait to see you again in March. xo
I loved reading your words about your trip. I know so much of how you feel.
