feeling inspired

Nov 3, 2005 | Life in Progress

i had the best day shopping. roxanna met me earlier in the day, then i was on my own. and it didn’t even rain until early evening. one of my favorite things to do is to bundle up on a chilly day like today, get some english breakfast tea from Peet’s, and wander around Portland. Today was one of those days, combined with some fall shopping, and good friend time with Rox.

last evening i had dinner with david, one of my favorite people in portland. he’s all about trash talking about celeb gossip, then the next minute we’re having a heart to heart about relationships and their deep connections and meanings. he’s the best. and i feel all protected walking next to him, because he’s like 6’6″.

john called from rhode island. he’s there, enjoying the cable tv in the hotel. and tomorrow is the interview….

I’ve been feeling seriously inspired artistically. i’ve been trying out some new stuff with mixed media, and i’m lovin it. it is a great feeling to finish a piece, then feel oddly proud of it. it is a feeling that i’m having more often, and it’s something i don’t ever want to get used to. i like it. i like creating. it makes me feel good, and i wake up with a feeling like i’ve accomplished, or made something really fantastic. and i could just spend my entire days right now creating. i’m feeling that inspired. after christmas, and once i’ve given the pieces away, i’ll have to post a photo, or two, of some of my art.

Sending much love,
