hope.

10×20, canvas, “hope”

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge — myth is more potent than history — dreams are more powerful than facts — HOPE always triumphs over experience — laughter is the cure for grief — love is stronger than death.” Robert Fulghum

i’ve had one of those blissfully uninterrupted days, in the studio, headphones on, tea on the cup warmer that my sister-in-law gave me for christmas. it’s been raining outside, a constant it seems this week. the photo above isn’t the best, but you get the idea. i’ll scan her in at a later date, but for now a photo will do. i am loving using collage elements in my paintings. i stepped away from it for awhile, but now it’s back, thanks to artfest inspiration overload.

yep, what a mess it is!

12×18,wood, “dance”

“Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances.” Maya Angelou

Sending much love,

Both paintings are about the most beautiful I have ever seen, but, Hope just hit me right in the heart…I LOVE it, and the quote is so perfect!

It’s always wonderful to get a glimpse into another artists workspace, comforting actually to see creative debris on another bench other than mine. Even a bigger treat to see the results of your uninterupted flow of creativity. Love the layers in “dance” Thankyou for sharing.

LOVE THESE PAINTINGS. Love them. I like the dynamic feeling that the collage elements add to the paintings.
Love to see your studio being a mess! I was afraid that there was something wrong with me, since yours always looks so good! Glad to see that I am not alone!

    keep up the great work!
