Weekly Update – So Many Snuggles!

May 17, 2018 | Life in Progress

I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

Saturday, May 5

Saturday! Seriously, you guys. The colors on the sidewalk are making me wild and happy and grateful.

Sunday, May 6

Sunday snuggles with Lulu and True. Whenever any one of us in the family is feeling under the weather, Lulu doesn’t leave our side. We call her our little nurse dog and we just adore her for it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tuesday, May 8

Good morning from these two sweet pups. Amelia is 8mos old and 45lbs now (creeping up on Lulu’s 60ish lbs). She is MUCH quieter than Lulu as she doesn’t snore really at all. She has a bit of separation anxiety and is always either with one of us or Lulu. Lulu could not be a better big sister to Amelia. She just tolerates her constant closeness and playful antics with such patience. They are constantly snuggling, always sleeping in the same dog bed despite our having one for each of them. If I’m in the hammock, they’re in the hammock. If we’re on the couch, they’re on the couch. If we’re eating, they’re underfoot. Constant companions, our sweet babies. And everywhere we go, people want to stop and pet them and say hello and talk about their stories and encounters of English Bulldogs. It’s such a funny thing! I can’t imagine our lives without them now.

Thursday, May 10

Hands down, one of my all-time faves. I’ve reread it many times and it continues to transport me to more wisdom and a deeper connection to my soul. I love those books that you can flip to any page and read. This, for me, is one of those books.

Wednesday, May 16

Lulu’s face says it all: I can’t even!

Sending much love,

John O’Donohue is one of my favorites too. In 2016 a friend and I returned to the west of Ireland to paint and write in the land that formed him. The watercolors and poems that resulted have become a workshop and are about to become a book….and it all started with Anam Cara!
