Been a little quiet over here. Mainly I’ve been in mom mode as John’s been on a big much deserved dude adventure. Loving this time, this new routine, these extra moments with True. Today he lamented how boring preK is which surprised me because he loves his teachers and friends so much. When I inquired a bit more he said, “Well I DO love my friends but school would me sooooooo much more fun if parents were allowed to come. Yeah, it would be less mediocre that way. ” This is such a True thing to say.

My heart has been bursting lately as I watch him read on his own. He’s INTO IT and as a parent I didn’t anticipate how magical of a feeling it would be to watch your kid read stories and for the whole reading process to “click” just like that. He starts Kindergarten in the Fall – another moment I’m sure I’m underestimating as a parent. Bittersweet. All of it.

I received this book for Christmas and I’m finally diving in (ha!). I love all things decorating and I’m loving this book by Em Henderson on styling. She has such a light and fresh and easy perspective on bringing spaces together. Love!

YOU, Kelly Rae Roberts, need to do a book on decorating. I sat yesterday, while trying to overcome this flu and looked through your home tour photos and studio tours and I just drooled. So in your spare time (lol) please do a book on decorating.
And, p.s. If you need help unpacking all those boxes, call me. I can’t wait!!!!!!!
It’s on the bucket list!! Thank you for the kind words, Jeanie and I hope you are feeling better, too.
