last nite i went to “last thursday” with jessica and sarah. It’s an art walk, held monthly, year round, and is the opening day for the gallery, studio and art showings on Alberta Street – probably portland’s most creative, diverse, and unique community. It was on Alberta Street that I fell in love with my favorite portland boutique (Tumbleweed; kara-line.com) many years ago and bought my wedding dress. It’s a huge event, buzzing with all sorts of interesting art, artists, street performers, people watchers, and hipsters. there was even some mud wrestling going on. the best part for me was strolling along with sarah and jessica. there’s nothing like having good girlfriends. and can i just say that i love being in a city that celebrates craziness, uniqueness, art, and the people who make it?
