(self portrait after a long day of finishing up the book’s photoshoot)

it’s almost 1am on friday. i can’t seem to get myself acquainted with east coast time. man oh man. it’s been late nites and early mornings with giant cups of black tea to help me cope with the time/sleep adjustments.

we are done.

done with the projects.
done with the photos.
done with the finishing touches.
done with all the meetings.

i’m sleeping in tomorrow, then jessica and i will spend the remainder of my last day together exploring, and talking more specific details about what to expect in the coming weeks.

i have learned so much about books and publishing. about the human collective spirit. about how we can feel so familiar and at ease when we’re in the right place with the right people. about the birthing of my dreams into visions of a book. all of this actually happening.

i am finding my way through this with a wide grin and a hope that this will always having meaning to me and perhaps to a few who will read the pages of a journey, my journey, my life in progress.

thank you for coming along for some of the moments of the past several days. what a cool week. real life shall return in a couple of days…
