scenes from sunshine

We set records around here for rainfall, low temps, and snowfall in March. This all means just about no sunshine unless you count the occasional “sun breaks” as they call them here in the NW. I’ve lived in the NW many many many years but I still get grumpy sometimes about the sunshine issue. We all do, especially around April when we’re needing some relief – when the extra Vit D isn’t cutting it anymore, when we’re bored by stomping in yet another puddle with our kids, when we’ve exhausted all the indoor play gyms, children museums, and other indoor kid options, when we’re really really tired of suiting up in rain pants and rain boots EVERYDAY to go to the outdoor park and slide and swing, and and and…

So when that sun arrives, you can count on lots of folks playing hookie, and getting outdoors. It’s like a “snow day” but it’s a “sun day” – not even kidding.

We were lucky to have two full days of not only sunshine, but warm sunshine over easter weekend. GLORIOUS. Here are some scenes (don’t laugh at the bunny cake)….

Celebrating 13 yrs today!
John and I also celebrated 13 years of togetherness. It was 1999 when we had our first date and the rest is history…

Sending much love,
