earlier this week…
a small retreat from school, from trips, from all of it. the beaches here are really quite gorgeous. one of my favorite pastimes is to watch john surf while listening to the sounds, walking along the water with bella, reading a book with the ocean just in front of me. the colors at the coast are vibrant and deep yet there is such calm by the water.
this weekend i’ll be in the studio making art for an art festival i have coming up next month. lots to do. i have the feeling of anticiapation along with worry that i might not have enough time to make a bunch of originals. we’ll see…i’m just going with it at this point.
i love bella’s expression of annoyance in this pic. there’s a tennis ball in front of her and she just has that look of “c’mon, enough with the photos. throw the ball, would ya!”
i especially enjoy when the beaches are a bit isolated, like this one.
I just love the Oregon coastline — especially the southern tip of Oregon, around Brookings.

Looks like you are having beautiful weather. The ocean is the greatest place I think. I am on my way to Lincoln City next week, can’t wait!!
