thanksgiving day

Nov 25, 2005 | Life in Progress

it was a wet and soggy thanksgiving day outside, but not in my heart. i’m so grateful and in love with my life right now that i have so much to be thankful for. family, friends, my/our health. i’m a blessed, blessed lady.

john had to work today, so i worked on a project this morning then spent the afternoon with lisa and kevin and the girls at kevin’s parent’s home on the vineyard. they’re retired and spend their time making wine, and she creates these amazing, intricate dolls. they welcomed me in for a great meal. it was so nice to be around an actual family, with a set of parents, and siblings. i only get that, if i’m lucky, once a year. so it was nice. and kevin’s mom packaged up a huge meal to send home to john – so nice and thoughtful. i’m really, really looking forward to going to florida this year for christmas so i can see and be around my own famliy. can’t wait.

Sending much love,
