today i:

*woke myself up laughing in the wee hours of the morning. i believe i was dreaming about my best friend gina – we were having one of our laughing fits but i can’t remember what it was over. still, it was cool to wake myself up laughing. this happens on a somewhat regular basis. my stepfather always said that he could hear me giggling in my sleep when when i was in highschool.

*ate yet another peanut butter (smooth) and jelly (grape) sandwich on soft white bread. for whatever reason, i can’t get enough of them right now.

*woke up at 6am. 6am! my dream in life is to become a morning person, even on the days i don’t have to be somewhere.

*was told for the umpteenth time by an adult more adult than myself that i should never ever walk to and from work like i’ve been doing for the last 2 weeks (it’s only 1 mile). people get mugged, attacked, killed. it’s oakland. perhaps i’ll start riding my bike. that should be a bit safer.

*continue my efforts to fight this itchy rash that appeared a few days ago. it could be sun poisoning (it is california), an allergy, nerves, who knows. it is getting better, though. thankfully.

*felt autumn. it’s coming. and i couldn’t be happier about it.

Sending much love,

Maybe it’s the autumn air – I can’t get enough peanut butter right now either. Today I had my first peanut butter & banana sandwich. (I know, I’m a late bloomer) And I think it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life!

I wish I laughed while I slept! I think that is an art of living well! I wish I could become a night owl especially since I am going to be working from 3-11pm. There is no choice. Have you ever had PB & apple? Or PB & banana? Mmmmm!!

definitely keep yourself safe Kelly! Oakland was wonderful to live in yet I, too, remember the gunshots from my college campus and how quickly things could turn at night street by street-be careful, will ya?! And as for waking up laughing, I just love that! I don’t think that has ever happened to me but that may be because there is too much silliness in my waking day and my sleep needs a break.

PB & J!! 🙂 Good for you Kelly!

I hope your journey to and from work continues to be a safe one! Sheesh! I’m not used to that area being freaky, but I know I’ve heard of crime maybe creeping up there since we left (sorry for you guys! 🙁

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

    Best,
    Jim

I’m on peanut better (chunky) and jelly (blueberry) on grainy whole wheat. It has been my work food (what I bring along)for weeks now.

I’m so happy about autumn too! It’s downright chilly in Portland today. Chilly! And as for walking to work, I don’t know. Things may be getting worse, but I walked and jogged and rode my bike in that neighborhood plenty and never had problems. That was during daylight, anyway. After dark, maybe not a good idea.

I have to say that PBJ’s with my mom’s homemade grape jelly is my ultimate favorite thing in the world!

Please be careful going to work! You are too precious for anything to happen to you.

    Take Care!
