wishing for more & IF (quiet)

Sep 28, 2006 | Life in Progress

“Pondering”
mixed media on stretched gallery canvas
9″x12″x1.25″
Original SOLD, but prints available here.

i’ve been sitting quietly with this woman, this painting of mine, for the last couple of days. together, we’ve been thinking, daydreaming, wishing. we’ve been reflecting on the journey while wishing for more. more adventure yet more stability. more time yet less demands. more relaxation. less pressure. we’ve also been trying, the two of, to be more optimistic, more hopeful in the midst of a frustrating week. we’re getting there, together. i love the connection to the pieces i create. love it.

Sending much love,

This is the first time i’ve seen your work and i do like it.
I like your dream-like way you make your art, the colours you use, texture and pattern, almost collage like.
Well anyway keep up the good work both as an art and as a carer.

The quiet conversation between the artist and their work. Of course I end up being very vocal sometimes. Great piece. Love the figure.
