zach and john are boys

zach and john are such boys. it’s endearing in many ways, then in some ways, it’s just boy stuff. and i’m just a girl watching them be boys. they can spend hours talking about surfing, snowboarding, travel adventures, then spend hours watching snowboarding and surfing videos. they’ll spend all day, literally all day, getting ready for the next day’s backcountry snowboarding trip… going around to all the different outdoor shops, checking out all the gear, buying little trinkets here and there, endlessly discussing the details of who’s driving, where they’re going, the terrain of where they’re going, and on and on and on. it’s so funny. tonite they are spending all evening getting ready to ride the resort tomorrow. waxing their snowboards, drying out their snowboots, loading up their various backpacks, the list goes on. all the while, they’re talking up the adventure that awaits them. i swear the planning is more fun for them than the actual event. they’re such boys! i wouldn’t change a thing. to me, it’s sweet and cute and fun and funny to observe them. just like brothers.
