Heaps of Flowers

Jul 31, 2005 | Life in Progress

John and I went to the downtown farmer’s market yesterday morning. We went last Saturday, too. I love it there. It’s in the park blocks, shaded, bustling with all sorts of people carrying their satchels with all kinds of goodies – berries, veggies, gorgeous bouquets of vibrant flowers. The people watching is just great. I could stay for hours. I think this will become a little weekly trip for us. I like picking out a great heap of flowers to last the week. Have I mentioned that I love summertime in Portland and I can’t get enough of fresh flowers? Before heading to the market, I ran 9 miles with PortlandFit. Can I just say that running is hard. It does get easier but in general it is so hard, but I always feel great after a long run. I say to myself multiple time throughout the day, “man, I can’t believe I ran 9 miles today, all before 9am!”

Sending much love,
