I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

And he’s off into the land of operating rooms. Could have been so much worse. So much. Grateful for all the healers who are quite literally putting him back together today.
John is home from surgery and is currently propped up on the cozy couch with ice cream. Everything went great and the recovery process begins. Grateful for all the love you’ve extended. Meanwhile, the art shed has been installed and is ready for paint. Still thinking grey, yellow, rose.

Peonies make everything better. Favorite flowers ever.
Saturday, May 27
In progress on the studio table. Life has been so weird and hectic lately. An art session felt like a therapy session. Also, I so wish we could wear crowns of leaves on the daily.
Sunday, May 28
Sunday morning lounge session on the porch. He’s working on finding the hidden pictures in a Highlights Magazine while I’m listening to the birds. John is inside, resting and recovering with Lulubutterbutterbean by his side. It couldn’t be more gorgeous outside. Heart is full.
When you’re trying to take a photo that shows how the peonies match the rug but the bulldog comes and parks herself right on top of the rug flowers. Ah well. Thanks for the photobomb, Lulu!

Good morning from the woods. I love this path to True’s outdoor school.
He was the owl in his school play. He takes these things both seriously and with much fun. It’s a magical thing to watch your child LIGHT UP, no? And it’s a magical thing to watch a school play in the forest. As the school year ends, we are so very grateful his first year of grade school was at this magical wooded farm school. He has thrived in all ways and it’s been downright dreamy to watch him literally skip to school. Go True go!
Wow, that school sounds dreamy. I’m a retired public school teacher in Michigan and we’ve been ruined by legislators who think they know what kids need. I’d love to be allowed to teach creatively and in a place like that!
