Weekly Update – Millions Of Things I Adore

May 11, 2017 | Life in Progress

I’m obsessed with Instagram – it’s my favorite online home! Here’s a recap from the last week, and for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, come and join me!

Wednesday, May 3

Um. I do not know what to say except this is a hilarious fail. I sent in this artwork of Lulu to a service that turns kid artwork into stuffies. I was curious and thought we’d try and see if they could turn Lulu into a stuffie. Between the eyebrows and black mustache, I am dying of giggles. DYING. The good news? True freaked out when he saw the stuffie Lulu and immediately begged to keep her as his new lovey. Also, the stuffie Lulu has wings. So there’s that. But the mustache. THE MUSTACHE!

Thursday, May 4

Hello Thursday! Today it’s working on a secret project that I can’t wait to tell you about. And trying hard not to go back to bed with Lulu.

On Thursdays we partner train and follow it up with a soak session, then an early dinner. It’s our once a week date afternoons (we find we’re too tired for evenings so we opt for 5pm date dinners). We started this practice a few months ago after years of trying to make it happen. We’re in a good flow right now and I super look forward to Thursdays when I know we’re gonna try a new place to eat. Tonite, it was @nostranapdx, which I cannot recommend enough! Life feels full of ease lately.

Friday, May 5

Um, hello gorgeous yellow. Just got the May @gudrunsworld catalog and I’m SWOONING over the pants-over-tunics looks. I feel like I met my Wear Your Joy® soulmate in these clothes. And how adorbs is Gudrun herself (lower right)? I hope to have such vitality and vision as a biz woman when I’m her age.

And into the weekend we go.

Saturday, May 7

She fell asleep on me like this.

Kidhood: finding little nooks everywhere. Making little forts everywhere. Including your lovey in all that you do. Slurpees from the 7/11.

One of the millions of things I adore about this kid is that you can often overhear him say “Ahhh, this is the life!” when he makes little spots like this. Makes me happy. Love watching him have a dreamy childhood.

Monday, May 8

Celebrating Grandpa’s 71st today. On his card, True wrote “Dear Grandpa, I love you to the heart of my soul.” Grandpa moved here (with my mom, Mimi) when True was 9 mos old. They’ve all been besties ever since. They’re a huge part (John’s parents, too) of True’s life and we are so grateful they all moved from FL to OR to be a part of his life.

Tuesday, May 9

The sleeping positions of Lulu are always entertaining.

Post workout session lounging in the sunshine. It’s been so pretty the last few days. I’ve been soaking it all up, #soulcareseconds style at every turn. Also, I just discovered Athleta for workout clothes. Striped workout pants for the win. I wish I could produce my own line of gym clothes. There would color and flowers and some mantras snuck in for good measure. Can y’all help me manifest that dream? Sending love, KRR.

Wednesday, May 10

Made it happen. Lots of thoughts today around what it means be a woman in business, a mother, a person. So many hats and roles mixed in with it all. If you were inside my head, you would hear a constant stream of thoughts that kind of sound like this: Am I revealing too much of my personal life online? Or am being vulnerable enough, often enough so that I can connect in meaningful ways? Am I sharing too much about my offerings? What happened to the days when you wrote blogs? You love writing. Do more of it. Did I remember to call True’s music teacher back? When are you going to find the time to finish up that big edit of Flying Lessons? Be sure to thank mom for all the extra help. Don’t forget to download that awesome avocado dip recipe for John. Sure wish I had more underwear as I always seem to run out. What are more ways I can do what I love, but differently? You should do a survey and ask your Possibilitarian community! Taxes. Don’t forget to pay them. I cannot wait to decorate the back porch. I wonder if True’s obsession with guns is something I should worry about. What’s you’re strategy for prioritizing family during the travel you have coming up? I think we should look at switching up our editorial schedule. Omg, OITNB is coming back soon. Isn’t shrimp awesome. You can eat a ton of it for like ONE weight watchers point.

Not saying I’m overwhelmed. In fact I love that we women walk around in the world with the kind of chatter we have in our heads while still solidly holding the same amount of space, if not more, for gratitude and joy. It’s one of our many superpowers. We hold so much chatter but our gratitude and joy rise to the top and lead the way toward the answers to all the noise filling our heads. It’s a sacred gift.

Sending much love,
