Saturday togetherness…
A few heart rocks for you;). We’ve been camping for about a week now along the beautiful Oregon coast. Lots of togetherness. Lots of exploring. Lots of campfires and ENDLESS games of Uno. Lots of not so great sleep thanks to tight quarters with a Lulu who snores VERY loudly. Ready to head home and get back into a flow.

Home! The rug that I ordered months ago (from Anthro) that I’ve coveted forever finally arrived and was waiting on the front porch when we got here. I rushed in, put it down, and properly geeked out over how much it was worth the wait. Love love love how it makes this longish room come together and feel cozy.

Coming home after a big trip that was preceded by such a big summer has me feeling all quiet and perhaps a bit melancholy. Entrance back into real life can be hard. All the unresolved stuff that we have follows us around. Until we face its direction. Give it some love. Attention. And care. I’m being gentle with myself and being careful not to fill up my schedule. Because s p a c e is something I depend on. Ps: a heart for you. And for me;).

I am not really an alcohol person except for an occasional Vanilla Lemondrop when I go out to eat, and drinking at home is super rare for me. But I was recently introduced to Fireball Whiskey at the Brave Girl Symposium and I loved it! And now I’m all official with it. I even bought whiskey ice tray cubes (round!). I’m gonna give it a shot (no pun intended) and see if it can help me get to sleep easier. Something about sipping and enjoying and loosening up at the end of the day sounds good to me or maybe it’s just the long summer days speaking to me. How about you?
