Grow True

Grow True, Bloom Wild is a message that invites us to let our journeys be about growth, truth, and love. Even if our truth doesn’t match others’ expectations, or brings up more questions than answers, we can still choose to let our experience be rooted in gratitude and trust in the wisdom of our hearts. Find this print in my shop!

Today I’m taking a mental health day. A soul care day. My body and brain and eyeballs need a break from working on the computer (hello, new website launch!) and all the heart drama of the week. Also, my soul wants to be outside in the glorious sunny Spring day weather. YES YES YES!!! So. I went for a hike with John and Lulu this morning. Bliss. And now I’m meandering downtown, and just stopped at a sweet cafe for a snack and tea. I’m gonna walk slow, window shop, treat myself to a delish lunch, and sit in the sun, read a magazine, and just be. Here’s to a soul day. All day. Xxo

Went the new GIANT anthropologie and spent a couple of hours wandering and drooling at their wallpaper and new furniture line. Found a little inspiration on my bag at my next little stop (Porch Light). Having a great soul care day. Feeling inspired by all the eye candy ???

Saturday, April 2

I feel like breaking into full-on song: Spring is here. And it’s gorgeous. And I’m so glad April is here. And these these trees are abloom all over Portland. And I feel rested (finally). And life is good. Currently sitting on the front porch with my tea and Lulu. It’s warm. Doors and windows open. Boys are up at the mountain and I’m enjoying a day all to myself. I’m gonna put my clothes away that have been sitting there for about two weeks and some other chores. Might make it to Fetch (eyewear store) as I’m desperate for new lenses. Hello Saturday!

Best day ever, minus the part where a bird pooped in my head. Good luck omen?

I adore just about everything she creates, but this might be my fave. Gah. @heartsandneedles

Sunday, April 3

Just spent the loveliest little bit with @lynzeelynx at an amazing store called Palace (@palacestore) a wonder of a store. Also, I heart Lynx.

Current view. After a delicious solo lunch at my fave lunch spot, I’m at the studio for a couple of hours of painting. I cannot get over the weather. It’s perfect. Windows open and Taylor Swift’s 1989 album on (best pop album I’ve heard in a loooonnngg time-every song is amazing).

Grow Into Joy - Kelly Rae Roberts - prints - Girls

Grow into Joy is about the journey we take when we trust the ebb and flows of life. It’s about embracing the uncertainties with a knowing that we’ll come out the other side more whole, more tender, more wise, and always with love. Print available from my shop.

Treated myself to a new dress over the weekend. I wore it yesterday and I’m wearing it again today. It makes me feel girly and like I’m wearing Spring.

Trust your heart, your STORY, your dreams. Trusting our story, that it belongs to us, that is serves us, that in it lies our divine purpose is some of the hardest most worthwhile work we can do to unearth the dreams we are meant to chase.

Best mail day ever. Just opened a gift package from some dear dear students who sent me some of their original art as a thank you. How lucky am I? I looovve the generosity and sweetness that went into this. Feeling loved and seen as a teacher. ??❤️

You guys. I’m feeling alive again after a few weeks of working my arse off and generally not being in my center/body/heart. I am learning (again) how much I MUST work as hard at staying centered as I do at my work. Living is both hard and beautiful. I’m grateful for the love I find in all of it. Xxo

Tuesday, April 5

Friends, my dad added a kids annex library to our new Little Free Library. I’m so glad we put this up at our new digs. It’s been the best little community maker ever. Highly recommend it! Also, Spring has sprung on our street!

Happiness. Been thinking a lot about being brave in sadness, brave in love – one of my favorite mantras through the years. There’s been a lot of this variety of courage in my life lately. Dedicating a podcast to this topic later this week as way of telling my latest important story. More to come!

EMBRACE CHANGE II - Print - Kelly Rae Roberts - prints - Mantras

Embrace Change II is an oldie but goodie. It’s a reminder that change is a constant, so learning to embrace and gratefully receive it is a powerful part of our soul work. Yes? Yes! Print available here!

Wednesday, April 6

Hello Wednesday. Today it’s a four hour meeting with Jamie (@propelbizworks) who project managed the birth of our new site, then a massage (soul care), then home. Solid day. And can I just say that Spring is killing it this year in Portland. Ahhhh. Hope you guys are enjoying your mid week 😉

Dear Soul - Kelly Rae Roberts - prints - Girls

Dear Soul is a love letter from your highest, wisest self. Its message is clear: You are here on Earth for a remarkable journey and you’re doing a great job. Sometimes we need encouragement, self-compassion, and a loving reminder that we are divine beings. And despite our inevitable mistakes, we are doing a great job of embracing our journeys and all that we are here to learn. Print available in my shop
