Friday, December 4

I took a short trip to Manzanita yesterday with a couple of girlfriends. This little town holds so much magic for me. It would be a dream to be able to own a little cabin here someday. The weather was gorgeous and so much peace in my soul. Love you, #manzanita!

NOTICE: You are hereby allowed to be happy, to love yourself, to realize your worth, to believe in great things, and to be treated with love and respect. I’ve seen this quote floating around the Internet, and I adore it. Good reminder going into the weekend,
my friends. Have a great one! – See more at: http://iconosquare.com/viewer.php#/detail/1031236835330443657_4682769

Loving this new piece I made. It says “they were her tribe, her kindreds”. Thanks for being my internet besties. What is it that they say? Birds of a feather……

Wishing you a warm, heart-filled weekend, my friends.

It’s Lulu in the arms of Mimi. Happy weekend, friends.

Holiday decor makes me happy. Found this golden beauty at Home Goods and paired it with a vintage wreath. The result? LOVE.

Meanwhile she is big enough now to jump on the furniture. I swear she thinks she owns this place and the humans who live here. And let’s be honest. She totally does.

Saturday fluffing and puttering is in full effect. Our living room is on the longer side, making finding a long but wide rug hard to find that is affordable. And so I’ve been experimenting with creating my perfect sized rug by patchworking smaller rugs together. I think I’m getting there and loving the look. Gonna try angling one of them before putting the chairs and coffee table back.

You know those days where the entire family is off? Off rhythm, and everyone is a little off, too. It was that today. Rough parenting day. Rough boundary day. Rough puppy day. By 1pm I was looking forward to the day being done. Mama said there’d be days like this……and looking forward to a new start tomorrow.

She was on a journey back to her wings… Let’s give flight to our souls this week, my friends. True: “Mom, this lifetime on Earth is SOOOOOOO hard.” Me: “Hmmmm, can you tell me more about that?” True: “It’s all the picking up of toys. It’s just so so soooooo hard.” This would be the moment I chuckled on the inside while taking his feelings very seriously, discussing the highs and lows of this “lifetime on Earth” and talking a bit about perspective. And then this photo. He’s like straight outta the 1920s or something. I can barely take all this-ness of him.And then there was this one. Let me tell you. She was a HANDFUL today. And by handful I mean I was pretty sure I was going to pull my hair out all day long. Do you know how hard it is to compose yourself and your thoughts during super important all day Skype meetings while puppy is acting a fool? Omg. But boy is she as cute as she is naughty. ????

Tuesday, December 8

New piece for me. I am very easily over stimulated. And the holidays can be a trigger for me with all its hustle and bustle. The reminder to find the sacred, beauty, and joy is my portal to peace, but it ain’t easy. This morning I chose to drive in the super slow truck lane while the other cars whizzed past. Ahhhhh, I loved the anti-rush if that one move. How about you? How do you find peace during the season?
Is it me or does Lulu have the Playboy bunny on her back? ??

At the very least we are fools if we do not live it as fully and bravely and beautifully as we can.

I made this with my own family in mind but it’s for anyone and everyone. Lovers. Sisters. Big families. Small families. Teams. Internet besties. Moms and children. Partners in crime, in love, in business. All. Of. Us.

Because when we’re brave together, everything is possible. A whole world of connection and adventurous living unfolds. Here’s to all the brave hearts out there inspiring me to be the same. Xxo

Wednesday, December 9

Have a lovely Wednesday, friends. I was up a lot last night with a scared puppy and 5 year old as the winds and rain and storm were intense. Today it’s calm and I’m grateful. Xxo

Together are hearts were wide… Lots of thoughts about family lately. Wishing you and yours safety and warmth.

Hard to believe this was just three months ago. Man. Yesterday I was trying to explain to him what a “happy accident” was when it comes to the creative process. He paused for a moment and then a lightbulb seemed to gently go off in his expression and he said “oh, it’s like a beautiful oopsie.” And now I’m not sure I’ll ever call it a happy accident again. A beautiful oopsie sounds so much better.

Another new print. It’s a love note to those we hold dear and to those who possess hearts we adore. Feeling the love lately. For just about everyone.

That’s it for this week! Check back here next week for another update, or join us over on Instagram for daily photos and thoughts!

Kelly Rae

Sending much love,
