Today can be that day.
Good to be back home. Thanks to the Oregon Coast for a couple of self nurturing days and a couple of family days with my boys. Back to the studio in the morn!
It’s rare to see him still, only happens when he’s asleep. He is such a little dude with such well thought out plans, opinions, ideas, and dance moves that I often have to remind myself that he’s only been here four small years. My goodness how my heart and life have been stretched, changed, rewired and born anew since this crazy and wise and serious and playful and willful and chilled out little fella made his appearance. For those of you who have not ventured into parenthood yet, let me say this: it’s a spiritual experience that never ends.

It’s a sick day for me, but this card I recently received is making everything better.
It’s a joy full life.
I believe when all else fails love always wins.
I believe in practicing courage every single day.
I believe kindness changes everything.
I believe in telling our messy, complicated, beautiful stories.
I believe nothing is wasted and everything shapes us.
I believe in letting go and trusting the process.
I believe we are all part of something beautiful, something bigger, something deeply, profoundly, astonishingly…good.
Day by day, we can make this a joy-full life.
Loving all the backgrounds students are posting to the #hellosoulhellomantras feed! We have new students joining the painting ecourse every day. I continue to be so so so inspired by their willingness and brave creative moves!
They’re like flowers on top of long stilts and I swear they just shot up out of this succulent overnite. Friends, I’m still under the weather but trying to get to the other side without making it worse. Grateful for my bed.

of our favorite projects we’ve done is to make a stage out of True’s
old platform bed. He is obsessed with this space and if you were to come
over he would immediately say something like “wanna come downstairs and
watch a performance?” He hangs out here for hours practicing his
Michael Jackson songs and dance moves. At least once a day we are
beckoned to be the “audience”. I love watching his love of music and
dance and performance continue to inspire him endlessly. He recently
started a hip hop dance class and he is INTO it.
I had to write today’s one word mantra on my wrist. I’m needing to call upon my fierce bits to push through this week that is kicking my butt.
