one of the best things the bay area has to offer is Point Isabelle, the best dog park we’ve ever been to. located on the water, with open views of san fran and the golden gate, it’s quite a treat for dogs and owners. we try to get there when we can. and let me just say i’ve never seen so many dogs in one place before running off leash in wide open spaces, swimming in the water, and generally having the time of their lives. it’s fantastic to see, if you’re a dog lover.

in other news, i bought the new brandi carlile album a couple of days ago and haven’t stopped listening to it since. her music is a perfect blend of rock, folk, and country. like everything in my life that is good, i’m slightly obsessed with it.

i also found this, which made me grin in a way of understanding.

i went into the city yesterday alone for several hours. i could wander san francisco every day if i had the chance. i just love it. i think my resting is coming to a close. yesterday i had a strong urge to paint something. it’s coming soon.

Sending much love,

Good to see Bella happy. The park sounds awesome. I am a die hard doggie lover.
What a nice coincidence. I was reading another blog, just this morning, that linked to the wish jar journal and I see it again here. Clever!
I’m in the beginning stages of tapping into my artistic talent and that post resonated with me. I enjoy(and I am inspired daily, you included) all of the great, talented woman in this blogosphere but as someone who’s aspiring to tap into her own potential it is hard, I admit, to not compare or feel a little intimidated by the amazing work of all these exceptionally creative and established artists. Make any sense?
You have been an inspiration, even though you don’t know me, and I really enjoy your blog; hence the reason I comment frequently. Thank you for sharing.

SF is such an inspiring city. I love wandering it’s streets. There are so many special little hidden places. If you ever get the chance, you might want to visit the Aids Memorial Grove in Golden Gate park above Haight Street.. It’s a lovely garden area that is peaceful and serene.

Ooo I love the Brandi Carlisle song I heard on Grey’s Anatomy the other night. Good to hear her whole album is good…I’m gonna have to cruse on over to iTunes tomorrow and download it. I’m always in need of new music. 😉

I’m so sorry I haven’t been in touch since Artfest….been in a typical (or so I hear) post-Artfest funk. Sounds like you’re doing the right thing…just taking it easy and letting things take you where they take you. Wish I could let go like that, but I’m finding it quite difficult at the moment.

Congrats on the book!!!!! That’s so awesome!!! I’m so tickled for you girl! I know it’ll be great!

Keep taking care of yourself and I can’t wait to see what you do with all the things you learned at Artfest. It was so wonderful getting to hang out with you and Liz a little that first night. Please do keep in touch and let me know the next time you’re in Portland. xo
