Your heart will never be alone.
I’m loving this new painting. I am so grateful for the support I’ve felt along the way. My life transformed in astonishing ways the second I decided to leap into the creative life circa 2006 (you can read through my small steps right here
). I feel like I’ve got some invisible wings, soaring on the support of what I now know to be true: that we are all meant for the journeys of everyday courage, that ordinary small steps lead to extraordinary changes, that we all deserve the kind of support that buoys us in times of struggle and in times of celebration. That we are meant to find the sacred in the ordinary, to heal our hearts, to seek inspiration for ourselves and then to radiate it outward. That success isn’t about what we’ve accomplished, but more about who we’ve become.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my early journey. The journey of childhood, the teen years, my early 20s. My 20th high school reunion is coming up soon and I suppose I’ve been reflecting, even diving into my diaries I kept as a teenager. In between the reflection, I just find myself incredibly grateful to have made it to today. Life is precious. I don’t want to miss a thing.
