Last Day of Demdaco Appreciation Week!

Jun 24, 2011 | Entrepreneurship, Life in Progress

I’d like to end Demdaco Appreciation Week with one final giveaway (see below) and a sneak peek of brand spankin new products that are releasing NOW!

krr summer demdaco collection
This is likely one of my favorite Demdaco product releases yet….let me show you!
We’ve got several large mirrors coming out but this one if my FAVE. Notice the hook on the right and shabby knob on the bottom and the little hope note on the bottom left that reads lovely you? Swoon! Yes, yes, this is a home-run for me – can’t wait to put this up in our house! It’s big – 18×24

We’ve got several canvas wall pieces hung from wooden rulers (so cool) and velvet ribbon. Love these to pieces! They roll up beautifully to gift as well. Love, love these!

Frames. Frames! Here are just two of my faves but there are many more where these came from!

Travel mugs to brighten up  your morning commute – we all need a bit of artsy love in the morning, right? I am seriously excited over these bad boys.

We’ve got a few of these awesome large magnet boards – perfect for creative spaces, office spaces, home spaces.  LOVE! I want to put these in my kitchen, my office, my bedroom!

While we were dreaming up magnet boards, we fell in love with the idea of creating girlie shaped magnet boards so that’s what we did. SO FUN!

More magnet fun with magnet sets….

girlies
We’ve added a few girlies to the decoratvie girlie collection. I am in love with these two. One is about Soul Sisters and the other is for all the Mama’s out there.
We love these intention candles – each poses a question (what is calling you? what can you let go? what can you invite in? what are you celebrating?). These were inspired by the idea that when we take a moment to light a candle, we can take a moment to reflect, celebrate, let go….whatever it is your heart may need in the moment.

boxy art
_MG_5890
And finally, we’ve got some pretty awesome boxy wall art for you with artsy thick sides. Love these so much – they can hang on the wall or sit all pretty by themselves. These beauties are in the shop NOW!

All of these new Demdaco products are making their debut THIS week, starting at the Dallas Market. I’ll have many of these items for sale in the online shop in the coming weeks (stay tuned!).

Thank you for celebrating Demdaco with me this week! Thank you, Demdaco, for allowing me to celebrate you! Huge thanks to Dave K for the interview (I think he started a biz revolution!) and to Anne for skyping with me and helping me pull this together! Thank you to Jonathan Jones for all the tech help! Thank you to everyone at Demdaco (everyone) for sending in your photos, your retail stories, your people stories and for all the incredible work you to do to make it all happen. It does not go unnoticed.

Huge thanks to everyone out there who support the products, who buy the products, who spread the word! Thank you for all your lovely and kind comments about Demdaco and the products! We are so grateful for you!

OMG! The new product line is simply incredible. Wow!I It must be so exciting to see your artwork on all those products specially in 2D & in 3D. DEMDACO has done such an incredible job producing this line. I am in awe!
I have to say Kelly Rae, before this week I was feeling very sorry for myself. I've had a really rough year as far as my Biz goes. I've had very few commissions and I even had a very humbling blow when I did not get chosen to participate in a local art project called "Horse Fever" which 10 years ago I created 2 of the most popular horses in the herd, they are having a new herd as an Anniversary celebration, Here are the 2 horses I created http://www.maggiesangels.com/blog/painting-celeste-horsefly-video/
The hardest part of the whole thing is having all my colleagues saying "I can't believe you are not in this group" I know they mean well, but its like a knife in my heart every time I hear this.
I have actually been lost and very sad at my lack of success this year & I've been really doubting myself, but again, you are a little angel sent to me telling me to keep at it & believe in myself that one day I will be discovered & I will have a licensing deal and my family can go to a store & see that my art has value. Art is a tough industry & there are more heartaches than there are successes. The hardest part of the whole thing is staying true to who you are, and believe that one day you can create art that makes people feel what you feel. I believe you are the perfect example of that & I thank You for this week because in my darkness you have shone a light. I am a person that believes the glass is always half full and I try very hard to be like Pollyanna, were I see the good & positive in all, but boy this year its been tough to keep that state of mind alive, but thanks to you I think I will keep trying. Thank You Kelly Rae 😀 Maggie

WOWWY! What great new products! Thanks for sharing…can't wait to see them on the shelves and out in the world. What I am loving is my husband of 33 years who is my rock! He is always there to lend a shoulder to cry or lean on when I am experiencing family tension. I am so blessed to have met him while in college and to some how touch his heart as he did mine. I wish everyone out in cyberspace the same blessing I have found.

    Hi there Kelly Rae,
This has been an amazing week hasn't it.
Along with everyone else I have so enjoyed all of your posts. I feel so inspired by you not only as an artist and creative sister but also as a person, you are so full of generosity, gratitude and love.
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.
I think it was 2 or 3 weeks ago one day while I was at work I was looking at your display and sent you a couple of shots from my phone. I thought, I bet Kelly would like to see what her art looks like in our shop. Little did I know the very next week I would hear from my rep that you did indeed want pictures, not just from me but from all of the shops that carry your work. What great syncronicity! I sure would love to meet you someday! Come to our store when you are in Seattle!
Thank you so much for putting our pictures on your blog!
We are expecting a huge shipment of your new products next week from DEMDACO! I can't wait. And I have an appt with the Creative Co-op rep to see your new line with them as well.
I can't tell you how exciting it would be to be one of your winners especially your grand prize winner,
but I allready feel like you gave us all a huge gift this week.
    In gratitude,

Thank you Kelly Rae for this wonderful week of blog posts. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Not only did I enjoy seeing the process of how your artwork is reproduced, but I really enjoyed seeing the business side of things – my passion has always been small business. I can only dream that maybe one day I too can make a living from my art, get to work with such wonderfully committed and passionate business partners, and have as big of a smile on my face as you do!
I will go to bed this weekend dreaming of the "what if's" and hoping that my name is chosen!

Aside from loving your new products,
I'm loving opportunities for celebration. It's been a long, difficult week, but I am thankful for the small moments that help me to keep going in this life. The inspiration when something touches my heart, the kind words from a friend, and the incredible world around us. We're going strong, moving forward, one celebration at a time.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday week. You are certainly a reason to celebrate.
